About the Casey Community Awards 2023

The Casey Community Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding individuals and groups whose contributions have improved the quality of life in the City of Casey. These people and groups consistently go above and beyond in their contribution to the Casey community as volunteers, professionals or community members.

Nominations can be made for individuals or community groups for their contribution to the Casey community in either a professional or volunteer capacity. Outstanding contribution and community service may include charitable and voluntary services, education, the environment, sport, multiculturalism, arts, or fund-raising for example.

Casey Community Group of the Year – recognises a Casey community group, sports club, or not-for-profit organisation, which provides support, events, fundraising or services for the benefit of the Casey community and its residents.

About the Food Pantry

Food Pantry volunteers provide crisis care to the community through fresh & non-perishable food, toiletries, and nappies for the last ten years.

The Food Pantry team has created an environment where clients are respected, valued, accepted, and cared for during their time of need.

As well as the practical support they provide, the team thinks about how they can brighten the lives of those they serve emotionally. Their dedication is demonstrated by providing a comfortable waiting space, ensuring privacy, and supporting specific dietary requirements. The volunteers show their exceptional service and commitment to those going through financial hardship in our community daily.

If you are in need of crisis support, you can find more details about the Food Pantry here.

Congratulations to the Food Pantry team.

Your dedication, love, and care for our local community are shown each week. We are truly proud of you all and thank you for your time and commitment in tirelessly volunteering each week.

A well deserved award for a team that tirelessly serves week in and week out to benefit those who are struggling in our community. Well done! Matthew 25:37-38,40 NLT "Then these righteous ones will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? "And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'
