Operating from your true identity

Operating from your true identity

If our mission as a movement is to be fulfilled, it will happen through transformed people. It saddens me when believers do not understand who they are in Christ. On the other hand, it excites me when I see a Christ Follower step into their true identity and operate from that! If we want to see communities change, it must start with people discovering who they truly are in Christ and learning how to represent this new life in broken communities.

“This is how love has been perfected among us: we will have confidence in the day of judgement because, during our time in this world, we are just like Him”

1 John 4:17

The more we become like Him, the more we become influencers who can bring about the kind of community and culture we long to live in. Meaningful change in our culture, and enduring change in communities, is rooted in transformed character.

'This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” '

Hebrews 8:10 -12 NIV

We need gospel-centered environments that will create an understanding of God’s intention for their individual lives and their effect on society. All true transformation starts with and is sustained by living from the gospel: The good news of new life in Christ. Let us rediscover the depth of our transformation in Christ this Easter!
