Standing on the brink of 2021

Standing on the brink of 2021

We trust you have all enjoyed your Christmas and New Year season and hope this has prepared you for the excitement of the year ahead.

'Without guidance from God law and order disappear, but God blesses everyone who obeys his Law. '
Proverbs 29:18 CEV

Standing on the brink of 2021, I’m processing thoughts of how best we could posture ourselves personally as we bring closure to a challenging 2020!

  • How do we make our lives matter in a world filled with great uncertainty? How do we make a difference, leave an imprint?

  • How do we leave a kingdom legacy through our everyday engagement with others, our family, friends, church partners and the world around us.

It is therefore imperative that we view the global political, economic and social turbulence as part of a process through which God is bringing about restoration and not destruction:

'Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. '
Acts 3:19-21 NIV

Inevitably those things that are unnecessary and “not of God” needs to be revealed and removed from our functioning, so only that which is eternal can remain. This process of purification is to be embraced! In order to guide you in this Pastor Graeme Cann, Pastor Ken Rayment and I will be sharing three messages over the next two weekends.

  • On Sunday the 17th of January I will share on the need for you to be “Knowing where you are going…” which is a message that will help you align your life with that which has true value.
  • On Sunday the 24th of January Pastor Ken will share a message with us on some of the current legislative realities we are facing as Christians as it is being presented before Parliament. In this same service, Pastor Graeme Cann will speak on “From tumbling down… to stepping up…” which will empower you to overcome the gravity pull of negative past experiences.

We also want to let you know that bookings are open for our next 2 services through the links below, and we hope to see you all here with us. Bookings will as a rule be opened two weeks in advance to ensure you would have enough time to book in for the upcoming services. As you attend a Worship Service, there will be an opportunity created in the service to book in for the next week’s service.

Please be aware we have a limited number of kids church vacancies for primary aged children only and once exhausted we will not be able to take more due to restrictions in regards to the leader/child ratios. The creche and feeding rooms will be available for parents and younger children with parent supervision.

Also please note that on your arrival we need to register everyone, this takes some time, and arriving a little early helps us to get you in promptly.

Masks will still be required as per the current government requirements, which as of the 12/01/21 is to wear masks at all times while indoors.

We look forward to walking with you into all God has for us for 2021 as we continue to represent Him in every place of society.
