Chosen people can live a life of divine influence

Chosen people can live a life of divine influence

There’s this lie that is going around: Only chosen people can live a life of divine influence on their circumstances. This lie does not hold against the general revelation we see in scripture. We have been made part of the most important “promise from the father”.

‘I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”’

Luke 24:49 NIV

For me, one of the unique aspects of this statement by Jesus is that he places the receiving of power in the context of a Father/Child relationship. A Father whom Jesus has revealed to us as absolutely trustworthy and consistent. Unfortunately, we sometimes function as if we have to beg and grovel for this promise to become a manifested reality. The good news is that it is included in your inheritance as a child of God. You can merely receive this promise for yourself! It is and individual, personal and recognizable experience:

This coming Sunday we will talk on this receiving of power from on high! Do not miss the service, either online or onsite (only 300 people allowed – so book through trybooking!).

‘They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. ‘

Acts 2:3-4 NIV

This is our expectation…that the content of this experience will be yours as we discover the work of the Holy Spirit in greater depth.

On site and livestream services this weekend

We are thankful that the Covid restrictions have been eased in Melbourne. This will give us the opportunity to allow up to 300 people onsite. To secure your necessary seats please book via our website calendar or Trybooking.com. You are also welcomed to contact the office should you not have access to the web.

The service will be livestreamed as well. You can watch on YouTube or Facebook. Due to limited space for kids, we urge families to book as soon as possible. Mask wearing will be compulsory. We do as each head of the household to make sure this is adhered to. This will be the arrangements as long as these restrictions are in place.

Safe Church Awareness Workshop

This Workshop is for anyone who is in ministry (or who is considering serving in a ministry) with vulnerable people or those under the age of 18 years (e.g. prayer ministry, youth ministry, kids church, schools ministry, playgroup, life groups, etc.).  It provides important legal information that you are required to know when serving in any area of the church if it includes anyone under the age of 18 years or anyone who may be vulnerable (i.e. those with mental illness, seniors, etc.).

Topics include:

  • Foundations and principles of a safe church
  • Protecting vulnerable people—definitions, indicators, and response procedures
  • Information about training, recruiting, and supervising safe leaders

This workshop is not suitable for persons under 15 years of age.

Thank you sound desk team!
