Kids Ministry
Be part of a team who helps shape young lives to become future generational leaders!
Kids Ministry is all about investing in the spiritual formation of children aged from 2-year-olds to grade 6. We aim to create an environment where kids feel accepted, seen, heard, and valued as God’s prized possessions. The ministry focuses on Child Discipleship, where kids learn about who God is (loving Father, Saviour, and friend) and who they are in Christ (sons and daughters with identity, purpose, and calling) through the Word of God. Kids are empowered to partner with the Holy Spirit in their faith development.

Come and help kids discover their identity and purpose in God’s kingdom.
What is involved?
Time
The Kids’ Ministry roster operates on a three-week cycle to allow volunteers to join church services.
- Team members volunteer from 45 minutes before each service until the completion of the Kids Church session.
- Sign-in team (admin): This is a two-hour commitment
- Safety team for both services
- IT Support team 8:15am – 8:45am
- Whole Team Vision Lunch – once per term
- Occasionally, we will run specific Kids’ Events requiring support for interested team members.
Training
Volunteering is not only giving your time and effort to support and serve kids, but it’s also a valuable leadership training opportunity for team members’ personal growth and development. With that in mind, we conduct team training and volunteer mentoring. Volunteers’ involvement in Kids Church becomes part of their faith journey and preparation for future ministry.
Key Tasks
- Ministry team: Pre-ministry prayer time with leaders, overview and delegation of roles for the day, set up of activities, and packing up the room.
- Sign-in team: Set up, warmly greeting all kids and families, assist with registration of new families, print off name tags, and direct families to specific ministry rooms.
- The safety team monitors the foyer area around the sign-in desk and assists with other duties as needed.
- IT Support team upload the IT programs needed for the day and resolves any technical issues.
