Live a life of Kingdom influence

Live a life of Kingdom influence

The Apostle Peter gave an address in which he declared a monumental shift in the affairs between God and Man. God raised Jesus – the prototype of mankind (see Rom 8:29 NIV) – to life! The beauty of this is that in Christ we were raised as well. As we discover the rich inheritance we have been raised into, our lives will reflect His great power. I truly believe that the discovery of His power toward us is key to living a life of Kingdom influence!

'Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ… I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, '

Ephesians 1:3,18-20 NIV

The promise that Jesus carried from the father was that the Holy Spirit will be poured out on us as His representatives here on earth:

'I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” '

Luke 24:49 NIV

After the day of Pentecost, the Apostle Peter referenced the experience the disciples had in their obedience to wait until The Power from on high clothed them:

'God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. '

Acts 2:32-33 NIV

We trust that in the next season we as a church will discover anew The Power (the person of the Holy Spirit) that has been promised to all of us. No matter what your denominational background…please make sure you pray for a fresh revelation of this part of your inheritance in Christ! The new series called “Fresh Wind” will help you in this discovery. Pastor Ken will share a very special word on the work of the Holy Spirit in our online service this coming Sunday @ 10am.

Online services this weekend with a twist

This coming weekend we will still be gathering online as a church. We are starting our new series, Fresh Wind (Fountain) – A history of REVIVAL and how you can personally receive God’s life force!

Have you ever felt dry spiritually, lacking purpose or power? Has your situation felt like a dessert? God’s Spirit comes like a fresh wind or a fountain of living water to bring renewed life. Pastor Ken will give a brief history of revivals – and draw out key lessons and how we personally can experience a fresh outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit!

We do however add a special service for those who have the need to come and enjoy communion, a sermon and fellowship in the Family Life Centre. The entrance that opens into the Family Life Centre on the western side of our buildings (thru the glass sliding doors) will be used for this service. It will start at 8:30 am and conclude at 9:15 am. The timing will help us to start to prepare for the online streaming at 10 am. Please book your spot on Trybooking.com as there are only 50 people allowed for the 8.30 am communion service.

Fuse | Encounter #4

This week is ENCOUNTER #4. Come along for an incredible night of worship, a message and small groups as we lean in for a touch of the Holy Spirit. Turn up and register at the door.

See you at 7pm, in the Family Life Center entrance on our western side glass sliding doors, $5 entry for a great night of reconnection. Don’t forget your mask for indoors!

Playgroup | News

We are re-opening Playgroup for the final week of term 2.  Government restrictions only allow 20 people to meet (with children over 12 months included in this number), which will create some logistical challenges for our team but for the mental health and wellbeing of our families it is important to get a significant number of our community back into their groups.  I have already had a number of Christian people offering to relinquish their spot in Playgroup for the sake of more needy families, which is a wonderful witness.  Please keep Playgroup in your prayers as we negotiate this season, particularly as there is potential for some families to miss out on being able to attend.

Food Pantry back on track

Matthew 25:40 NIV

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

The further easing of restrictions now allows the Food Pantry to go back to normal operations.  As such, clients can now walk back in as per normal through the east side of the church. The Food Pantry is available on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 2 pm. Please advise friends, family and people in need who would benefit from this community service.

Pastoral Care needs in this season

2 Corinthians 1:4 NLT

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

We are thankful that restrictions have eased again allowing a minimum number of people to meet in public venues, outdoors, indoors and in homes. However, there are still many who are not coping well and would benefit from practical assistance. The winter season brings about the winter blues and many people are suffering from colds and other breathing-related illnesses. On top of that, the recent severe weather conditions mean that some families are living without electricity.

We encourage life groups to reach out, check in and support each other, especially in this season. The Living Springs Counselling Centre is available if you need them by calling them on 9702 6687 or emailing them at [email protected]. If you need practical assistance in the form of food and groceries, then the Food Pantry is available on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 2 pm.

Also, if you need a listening ear, someone to talk to and pray for you, call us on 9702 1011 or send us an email at [email protected] and someone from the team will reach out to you. As a church, we are called to serve and comfort each other and it would be great if we could be available to each other in this season. Even if it's just making or taking a phone call. God Bless!

Gifts assessment process & expectations

We have progressed the Gift assessment process and have sent out 185 tokens to our church family, please email [email protected] if you are having any issues and we will do our best to make this an easier process.

Thank you for being His Presence in Every Place!
