Single but not alone…!
Friday 17th March 2023
The composition of families in Australia is going through a transition. We see a few interesting trends according to The Institute of Australian Families Study’s report of 2022.
One of the conclusions one can make is that everyone in Australia can in some way refer to a single-parent family within their immediate sphere of influence:
Single parent families are part of all of our lives >>>
and so it should be! >>>
It does take a village to raise a child and never has it been more important for The Church to relate better and more effective with single parent families. There lies great hope in The Church for single parent families, as it can create an environment wherein these families can flourish. This Sunday we will listen to an amazing message as well as a testimony of how a single parent from our church has done a great job on raising kids and leading a family as a single parent. It is going to be an inspirational and highly relevant message for everyone…not just for single parents! The essence of what will be preached will transform anyone that applies the biblical principle this single parent will teach us this Sunday. My prayer is that the following scripture will be the fruit of Sunday’s service:
'And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. '
Philippians 1:9-11 NIV

And after the service, Mert got baptised as well. Isn't God good?! He is working in the hearts of men and women and guiding them in taking the next steps in their faith journey. Perhaps God is prompting you to take the next steps in your faith journey through baptism. Fill out this form and someone will be in touch. Our next baptism will be on Sunday, 30 April with a baptism briefing on Tuesday, 18th April so register as soon as you can.

Christopher was having the time of his life, enjoying every moment of the tandem skydive. Suddenly noticing he passed his daughter at high speed and realised it was because her parachute opened and his didn't! Christopher and his instructor Arron came crashing to the ground, spiralling in an anti-clockwise direction and landing feet first. You are invited to hear Christopher talk about his miraculous survival, paying tribute to Arron who in the final seconds before hitting the ground, cradled a total stranger to protect his passenger.
Thank you for being His Presence in Every Place!
