Are you planning to live according to your design?
Friday 11th August 2023
In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. Amidst the noise and distractions, we often find ourselves chasing after fleeting desires and material possessions. However, deep down, we know that true fulfilment lies in living a life centred around our priorities. As the wise words in Matthew 6:31-34 remind us, it’s time to shift our focus and trust in a higher purpose.
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ for the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matt 6:31-34 NIV
These verses offer profound guidance on how to find peace and happiness in our lives. The key lies in seeking our priorities with unyielding determination and faith. By defining and aligning our actions with our core values, we pave the way for a more meaningful existence.
Redefine success:
In a world that often defines success through material achievements, let’s redefine it based on our values and personal growth. Success should be measured by the positive impact we make on others and the world, rather than by the size of our bank accounts.
Seek the Kingdom of God:
Whether you follow a specific religion or not, seeking the higher values of compassion, love, and empathy is essential. By making these values central to our lives, we foster an environment of kindness and understanding.
Embrace gratitude:
Gratitude has the power to shift our perspective and attract abundance into our lives. Instead of focusing on what we lack, let’s cherish and be thankful for what we already have. The more we appreciate life’s blessings, the more reasons we find to be grateful.
Let go of worry:
Worrying about the future only steals our joy from the present. By trusting in a higher power and taking one step at a time, we free ourselves from the burden of uncertainty. Each day brings its challenges and blessings, and by living in the present, we embrace life’s richness.
Invest in meaningful relationships:
Cultivate deep and meaningful connections with the people who truly matter to you. Surround yourself with those who uplift and inspire you, and reciprocate the same positivity to create a network of love and support.
Pursue passions and purpose:
Discover what sets your soul on fire and pursue it relentlessly. Whether it’s a hobby, career, or cause, aligning your actions with your passions will bring unparalleled joy and fulfilment.
Remember, life is too precious to be squandered on trivial pursuits and constant worries. Embrace the wisdom found in Matthew 6:31-34 and plan your life around your true priorities. Trust in the journey, and you will find that life becomes more meaningful, purposeful, and rewarding. Your priorities will guide you towards a life of abundance, both inwardly and outwardly. Embrace the present, and the future will take care of itself.
Clyde Church | Update
After a couple of years of exploring ways to pioneer a new Church for the Clyde area, establishing and equipping a team, reaching out to the community, developing resources, and meeting monthly in a home, we had our very first service in a public hall!
Vision Sunday was a chance to share the vision and heart for Clyde and invite others to go on the journey with us.
Our next major milestone will be the Public Launch of the Church on October 8th. Our goal: to invite everyone we can from the community who is open to come and encounter God. From that point on we will meet weekly 3-4 times a month in homes and monthly at the hall.

Playgroup | Highlight
We love to celebrate birthdays at Playgroup! Our littlest ones might not be able to blow out candles but there’s always mummy or someone bigger to help with candles and present opening!
It’s all part of creating a sense of belonging and community in our sessions – and of course becoming part of God’s family is our ultimate goal for the families. I love to hear stories of playgroup grandmas going out for coffee after playgroup, Christian mums inviting non-Christian mums to their homes for lunch or a walk with their prams, playgroup ladies inviting their friends to do a course at church with them. All helping to bring these people closer to the kingdom of God. Contact Sue via email at playgroup@bcoc.com.au or 0403 822 324 if you’d like to know how to get involved!
